A brief history of the group:

“Il Cassero” was born in the medieval town of Castiglion Fiorentino, 15 Km S of Arezzo, at the centre of the triangle formed by important cities such as Florence, Siena and Perugia.

The group started its activity in 1982. “Il Cassero” was created to enrich the parade of the “Palio dei Rioni” (horse race in round), that takes place in Castiglion Fiorentino once a year, in the third Sunday of June. In these years the group expanded its fame from the small ancient towns to the most important Italian cities and in the end in the biggest European capitals.

In Italy “Il Cassero” took part in: the inauguration of the Ski World Championship in Bormio in 1985; the opening ceremony of the Military Olympic Games in Rome in 1995; the coreography for the final match of Champions League between Juventus and Ajax at the Olimpico Stadium in Rome in 1996. “Il Cassero” has participated in many TV broadcasts on the leading Italian networks. “Il Cassero” has toured in England, Germany, Spain, Romania, Malta, Luxembourg and several times in France, where in May 1999 “Il Cassero” had the honour to open the national festivity dedicated to Jeanne d’Arc in Orlčans.

Growing in number and quality through the years, the group made of its shows the most effective form of sponsoring; Our performance has always satisfied the audience and the organisers of the events “Il Cassero” has taken part in.
